Black History Month

Black History Month in February, is our nation's way of showing respect and recognition for the hard work and sacrifices made by African Americans. One way to celebrate Black culture and experiences is through books and films. Here are a few to help you get started.

Pride Month

June is PRIDE Month and is dedicated to the celebration and commemoration of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) pride. Record-High 70% in U.S. Support Same-Sex Marriage. This month we are highlighting Visible Allyship!

Hispanic Heritage Month

Considering there are more than 62 million Latinos living in the US with rich cultural backgrounds, we have many opportunities to explore, learn from and embrace Hispanic Heritage Month. National Hispanic Heritage Month is from September 15 to October 15.

Womens History Month

March is Women’s History Month, established in 1987 because often women’s experiences and contributions to society have gone unnoticed, are undervalued, and aren’t included in traditional history texts, and yet 50.5% of the global population are women.

Disability Pride Month

July - Disability Pride Month is an opportunity to honor the history, achievements, experiences, and struggles of the disability community, and to promote visibility and mainstream awareness of the positive pride felt by those within it.

Native Heritage Month

Learn more about the first known people to live in this country, their history and some of the art and music they are making today. Today approximately 7.1 million people are members of the 642 Native Tribes living in the U.S. Celebrated in November.
