Through Their Eyes Book Club: We encourage you to join Coronado Public Library’s Through Their Eyes book club to learn about life experiences from different perspectives and cultures. Sign up at cplevents.org to receive a reminder email about the meeting. The October book selection is Crazy Brave by Joy Harjo with a meeting date of November 9 in the Conference Room at the Coronado Public Library. The November book selection is Call Me American by Abdi Nor Iftin with a meeting date of December 14 in the Conference Room at the Coronado Public Library.

Diversity Book Drive: We recognized that our school libraries had an incomplete collection of books featuring characters of color, authors of color, and stories of diversity. In response, we coordinated a Diversity Book Drive for diversity-themed books. After researching 540 award-winning titles, we identified 160 books to enhance the CUSD library collections. The community gracefully donated funds, and we facilitated the purchase and delivered the books to each school.
